Registered Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body. Focusing specifically on muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Our Massage Therapists are experienced in General Swedish Massage and are thoroughly trained in Myofascial Release Techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, Hydrotherapy and Remedial Exercise.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Marisa completed the Massage Therapy program at Fanshawe College and received her full registration with the CMTO shortly after graduation. Marisa is passionate and dedicated to client centered care and wellbeing of others. She is trained to treat and assist a wide range of conditions that can span from acute to chronic. Marisa uses various techniques during her treatments such as Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, friction technique, and remedial exercise. She is also trained in Cupping Therapy and hot stone massage. Marisa strives to treat all her clients' individual needs and give her clients a voice through their treatments. She is excited to provide clients the best care she can give to help them achieve their overall needs and goals of their health and wellbeing. Marisa is excited to be providing services to the Tavistock community.

Julie Neves, R.M.T.


REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

In 2003, Julie graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Through her years of experience, she’s been able to specialize in massage therapy for many areas, such as aches and pains, athletic injuries, mental health and stress, pregnancy, and geriatric! She also teaches mindfulness, using breathing techniques to achieve deep relaxation.

While she’s not working, Julie loves spending time with her husband, three kids, german shepherd, donkey, pygmy goats, sheep, and hens!
